Kennedy School Creeps

"And it's so sad to see the world agree
That they'd rather see their faces fill with flies
All when I'd want to keep white roses in their eyes"
~Neutral Milk Hotel

Had a blast in Portland, Oregon with this Foxy little creature for my birthday last month! My roomie was sweet enough to purchase us both tickets to see Neutral Milk Hotel play live at the Crystal Ballroom and OHMYWOW was it an unforgettable experience! Honestly, the entire escapade in Portland was amazing. We ended up staying three days and didn't want to come home by the end of it. A local friend was kind enough to take us to a bunch of really neat places but I, of course, only ended up taking photos one of the days... someday I will be better at this!
We went to a few really rad bars, Kennedy School just so happened to be one of them. On our last day we decided to go back during the day to have a little photo shoot... 'cause who wouldn't want to get drunk in a "school" and take mischievous photos?!
Kennedy School used to be an actual elementary school until they turned it into the most amazing hotel/lounge/theater EVER! It has multiple bars, a pool, theater, restaurant, and gym. They even kept to the original school theme so every room has a different vibe.
Fox and I's favorite room was probably the Broiler Room Bar <3 The railing and chandelier details were the part I liked best about it...
I just had to wear my new 'cheerleader skirt' I purchased from Tobi for my birthday. It went perfect with the school girl thing we were going for and paired it with my 'Spare Parts' Star Wars tee to give an extra nerdy vibe.
Fox wore a pretty little lace bodysuit with her laced up shorts from Forever 21. We both rocked the thigh high stockings and Doc Martens to give our looks a bit of edge ;)

I have been recently swamped with a million things since returning from my vacation... but I promise to dedicate all free time to getting caught up so I can share all of the exciting projects I've been working on this spring and what's to come for summer! Spring Greeting Earthlings!

It feels as if I've been on a spaceship traveling to a million different planets with zero time to blog... but after a month of inspiring experiences and radical encounters I'm ready to start sharing again!
Star Makeup By Redd Walitzki
I am beyond lucky to have such amazing friends in my life. Not only are they extremely talented, creating some of the most interestingly beautiful things I have ever seen, but they also genuinely care about me. I've always been a bit awkward and shy so making new friends was never an easy thing. One of the reasons I got into modeling was to force myself to meet new people and possibly even friends. And that's exactly what has happened! ;)
This set was a collaborative effort with two of my favorites... Carl Faulkner & Redd Walitzki <3 If you have not checked their work YOU NEED TO! I was fortunate enough to become their neighbor(just across the hall) so I get the pleasure of popping in on them just about whenever and they do the same. I haven't had friends that close in a long time, let alone peoples I can actually create awesome with. Expect to see plenty more from us in the future!
Pastel pink sequin & mint green cupcake garters were made by myself and I am very pleased with how they turned out. The garters are super simple and cheap to D.I.Y plus they help keep your socks/stockings from  slipping ;)
A few of my wardrobe pieces might look a bit familiar because I styled them in a winter look titled I Live in a Hologram with You... <--Click title to see it!

I am currently working on so many projects, it's extremely exciting!! Can't wait to share more with you as soon as I can but in the meantime follow my Instagram & Facebook for sneak previews/behind the scenes.

Voyage for Spring Blossoms

This week I noticed a few plants were slowly starting to peek their pretty little peddles out. Got me all sorts of excited and I knew I had to get some photos stat. Those of you who follow my Instagram probably already noticed but I LOVE FLOWERS! During Spring/Summer I try to post at least one photo every week for #FlowerFriday. I've been doing this for the past two or three years now and I really enjoy it. Something about getting super close and seeing them like a teeny-tiny faerie may <3
Before leaving on our voyage, I decided to bust out my pink & blue swirl ice cream cone lip gloss necklace I found in the kids section. Comes in very handy and a sweet pop of cute for a Spring/Summer accessory!
Such a lovely day out...
Fox & I decided to take a Ferry across the Puget Sound. The boat was extremely full but we did manage to snap a few photos... even if it meant flashing at least 30 strangers my ass to get this stunning photo of Fox in her vintage coat and 'Fluttershy' Necklace from Fathom Fortuna(it's very windy on the ferry)HA:P
After the stuffy ferry ride we stumbled upon a row of gorgeous blossoming trees and this bad ass lion! The statue was too perfect for the little 'Leo' Fox <3
Another highlight of the week, would definitely have to be receiving my birthday gift from my Grandmother. She is seriously the raddest Granny ever for getting me a pair of 'Mermaid Chameleon' Platform Boots from Black Milk X Solestruck:D

LOOK AT THOSE COLORS!!! GAHHH <3<3<3
'Mermaid Chameleon'
is the best way to describe these babies. Not only are they a uniquely mesmerizing print, but have just the right amount of platform to still be comfortable on long adventures. I couldn't be more satisfied, expect to see them on the blog often!
I'm trying to document more of my personal adventures on here but don't forget to check out Facebook and Instagram to see what we get into next!;)

Mutilated Mermaids & Computer Guts

This outfit is strangely nostalgic for me... ok well maybe the mermaid part isn't that strange. Plenty of people like mermaids. My favorite memory of mermaids would have to be the colorful ones from the movie 'Hook'. I was always so mesmerized by their beautiful hair and the sparkly scales! See for yourself...

The strange part I'm referring to is the circuit boards. My dad is a computer engineer so growing up we always had random computer pieces laying around. I thought they were interesting to look at but never really understood what they were for until my dad explained it to me one day. What can I say... I'm computer geekin', even their guts are pretty to me. Ha! #SuperNERDStatus <3
These 'Circuit Board' leggings I got from Black Milk bring a rush of childhood memories back every time I see them, it's wonderful!
As you may have already noticed... the mermaid on my shirt isn't exactly like my favorites from childhood. It's just a tiny bit more dark and morbid but like most of the Atrocious Works designs, it really grabbed my attention.
I think the dissected mermaid image pairs so well with the subtle print of computer guts. The idea of technology vs. mythology may be a bit of stretch, but the colors work together and over sized tops with tight fitting or no bottoms at all is honestly one of my favorite combos. It may not create the most flattering silhouettes but it's one I personally rock all of the time in my daily wardrobe. Because in my style book nostalgia and comfort win! ;)

Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe

"Now we turnt up and you turnt out"
"We burn it up and you burnt out"
"I'm caked up with my cakes out and you eat that shit- Lil Debbie"
Loving me some Lil Debbie and I'm not talking about the sweet treat... <3 Feeling like a bossy bitch in this look, thought her lyrics fit this post perfectly. New outfits and light projector experimenting with David Wentworth at Flutter Studio turned out pretty legit. The high waist shorts paired with my spiked out shoes make my legs look ridiculously long. For those of you who have never seen me in person, I'm only five foot... oh the magic of styling! ;)

I Live in a Hologram with You...

"And nothing's wrong but nothing's true... I live in a hologram with you"
"Make believe, it's hyper real... But I live in a hologram with you"
"Cola with the burnt-out taste
I'm the one you tell your fears to

There'll never be enough of us"

Winter Coat: Mod Cloth
Tulle Skirt: Target
Thigh High Socks: Sock Dreams
Holographic Sneaker Wedge: Urban Outfitters

After helping my grandmother take down our Christmas ornaments (Yes it's been over a month ago, I've been playing catch up remember?), I found a piece of shiny garland and I thought it would go perfectly with my holographic sneakers I was wearing that day. So I pinned it to the top of my knit beanie and BAM SPARKLE POM HAT! <3
My little brother Josh and I decided to go on a 'photo-venture' and take some pictures of me in my freshly found sparkles. Josh ended up really enjoying using my fancy camera, so much so, he actually enrolled in a photography class in college. Even though he is currently going to school to become a pilot, photography would be a pretty perfect hobby for someone who can travel the world so easily. Proud big sister moment and ecstatic he's living close so we can actually kick it. He took every photo in this post (except the last one of the skirt detail was taken by myself). Not bad at all for his first time using my DSLR. Expect a lot more photo features on my blog from this kid... I plan to make him go on all the thrills with me and he better fly me all sorts of places because HELLO he's my little brother and he loves me! lol
This skirt was a three dollar clearance find in the kids section at Target. Yes, sometimes I wear children's clothes :p hahaha! I have another set of collaborative photos that were taken with a similar outfit and show the skirt more. I plan to share them with you very soon... but I already have a few photos posted on Facebook & Instagram if you'd like to see a sneak peek ;) Don't forget to 'like' or 'follow' those pages if you haven't already.

Aviator's Girlfriend

My head's too high in the sky to see the earth. My mind's addicted to the clouds and don't ever want to come back down. But I'm grounded by the reality of chaos I can not escape...

I think I mentioned something about this in my last post but just to make an extra point... it was a very long and strenuous holiday season. Trying to balance my crazy retail job and a social life in the city was a bit intense. I really burnt myself out and am still feeling the after effects. I did manage in collaborate with Sarah Tickler, who you may have noticed is a very close and dear friend of mine.  It felt great to the escape the chaos for a day and just be creative.
Sarah actually styled this entire look and I am in love with this teal wig, it's perfect! I'm so proud of her :) you should also check out her Etsy store CreationsbyaCat, she's been making some really rad crystal and custom work lately. The aviator hat is from Steampunk Couture and the extra long scarf and matching gloves are from The Ivory Dolls. I highly recommend checking out both designers if you haven't already.
